Indian Peaks Wilderness
Nature photographs

These nature photographs were taken on the Columbine Lake Trail in the Indian Peaks Wilderness on July 15, 2007. The trail started at the Junco Lake Trail Head in Arapaho National Recreation Area. The trail followed a babbling brook with lots of lush vegetation. It was a cloudy day, and the air was full of pesky mosquitoes, but the wildflowers were beautiful. After we reached the lake, the sun came out and made the hike a day to remember. And though it rained on us while we hiked back, we were lucky enough to have a moose come out of the woods and pose for us.
Brainard Lake Recreation Area can be found in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Photographs from there can be found here.
