Saltandlight.site is the work of one man: David Dennis. That is me. I am the author and designer of the webpage, the coder of the html and css, the creator of most of the graphics, and the photographer of all the nature images.

I have been a Christian most of my life. (I am nearly 70 now.) And I have done many things in the years I've been given. I have a bachelor of music education degree and a bachelor of Christian ministry degree. I have been a music teacher in public schools for 14 years. I have been a church youth director 8 years, and pastored a small church (while teaching) for 7 years. I have worked professionally as a roofer and a portrait photographer. And for the last 15 years of my working life, I was a judicial assistant (clerk) in a Colorado courthouse. I also did amateur work as a nature photographer, and in the early days of the internet, I set up a webpage with my nature photography that attracted at least 8 million page views. Lately I have retired to Cheyenne, Wyoming to be close to my son, his wife, and 4 granddaughters.

The many things I have done have certainly made me seem like "a jack of all trades, master of none," as the saying goes. But it also makes me feel like I have lived a very rich (not financially) life. Some of my different work situations feel like completely different lifetimes.

As a Christian, I have seen many of the trials that Christians face: everything from doubts to persecution to unscriptural teaching. It seemed to me that God wanted me to use all of my experience and skill to help Christians today. So I decided to make this website to edify, encourage, and teach Christians what genuine Christianity should look like.
