The White Tank Mountain Regional Park is administered by Maracopa County in near Surprise, Arizona. It is mostly wilderness, though there are picnic areas, campgrounds and many hiking trails. As you can see from photos here, there are many Native American Petroglyphs. There is a link below on the history of this area.
These photos of the White Tank Regional Park were taken on April 10, 2010. It was the perfect time for an amazing array of wildflowers.
